Consultation & Discovery
At Standard Web Solutions, we strive for a streamlined process from start to finish. From your first contact with SWS, you will be provided with the highest quality customer service. During our initial consultations, we will use pre-created forms to expedite gathering the information required to understand your specific needs. Once we understand your requirements, we will assess our resources as well as yours, then research and present to you all available options to determine our best path forward.

Contracting
Transparency and shared understanding is crucial to ensuring the smooth completion of our web development projects. Here, we will discuss and come to a consensus on the specific details of our project, including the specific work to be completed, our project's timeline, and a billing plan that works for all parties.

Design
The design stage can include as little as color selection for your website or as much as a full brand creation, including the creation of a logo, color and typography selection, custom layout or component design, image selections, and more. Depending on the scale of your needs, your design requirements will either be filled entirely by SWS in-house or with the assistance of one of our trusted third-party web designers. Professional design software will allow us to create shared understanding prior to moving into our development phase.

Development
Development refers to the process of transforming our design into code. If you decide to use a low-code tool like Squarespace, this process could be quite quick and simple (but your site will be necessary quite basic, and our ability to customize will be limited). On the other hand, coding a fully custom site from scratch may be quite complex and time-consuming. The approach that we discussed during our Discovery phase and agreed to during our Contracting phase will guide our development approach.

Testing
Once we have created our website, it is important that we test our code before we deploy our site for the world to see. Since we focus on creating static sites with little or no back-end information, this is usually a simple step.

Once your site as been fully tested, it is time to get your site on the internet! In this stage, we move your site from a development environment to your public URL so that the whole world can see your new website.
